The Luangwa, lower Zambezi and Victoria Falls areas continue to be popular
with mainstream travellers but there're still enough hidden spots and an
excellent pool of guides to assure the best value for first timers and seasoned
visitors alike.
The upper Zambezi catchment and lower Zambezi have had massive rains through
the early part of the season - nothing untoward for the dry season running May
to November.
For several years we've worked very closely with the Coppingers of Tafika, Jo Pope of Robin Pope
Safaris and Andy Hogg of the BushCampCompany to ensure that we're offering the
most competitive and best value safaris in the South Luangwa. It's a
formula that works so we're sticking to it again.
The North Luangwa has always been an especially rewarding remote spot - 2009
is going to be another excellent season.
In 2009 we're expecting
a lot of pressure with the recession so we've come up with a few absolutely
unbeatable safaris.
Look out for
- Bushcamps in the Luangwa - outstanding game, quiet locations and top
guides. Kasaka on the lower Zambezi - for affordable family
orientated fun!
- On the canoe safari front...stick to the trips on the Mana Pools
shoreline, not the Zambian. Speak to Liz.
- Take advantage of seasonal specials - especially during the green season
from January to March, May and October
- Speak to Mark, Jools or Sam about the Victoria Falls combinations
